Thirteenth Court of Appeals

Swearing-In for New Lawyers

The justices of the Thirteenth Court of Appeals were pleased to conduct several swearing-in ceremonies for new Texas lawyers this fall.   On November 8, 2016, Justice Garza swore in former Court intern Janelle Valdez, who recently graduated from University of Houston Law Center.  On November 10, 2016, Justices Garza and Longoria swore in Christian Meneses, Rachel Zummo, and Rachel McKenna at a ceremony that was graciously organized by the Corpus Christi Bar Association. On November 12, 2016, Justice Longoria and Justice Benavides swore in former Court intern, Andres Martinez.  The Court welcomes these newly licensed attorneys!
