Statement of Inability to Afford Payment of Court Costs or an Appeal Bond

In civil cases, parties wishing to appeal without paying for the clerk’s record and/or reporter’s record must file the approved Supreme Court form, Statement of Inability to Afford Payment of Court Costs or an Appeal Bond, as explained in Rule 145 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. Filing Docketing Statements

After completing the form, in order to create a PDF suitable for electronic filing you must use the Print to PDF feature. To save the file as a pdf, click on File then Print. Under printer, select Adobe PDF and then click Print. A screen will appear "Save PDF File As" and you can then save the file. The docketing statement is now ready to be electronically submitted.
