Pettus v. Pettus, No. 02-05-00110-CV (Sept. 13, 2007) (Livingston, J., joined by Walker and McCoy, JJ.).
Held: Entry of the final decree in this complex divorce case did not nullify the parties’ pretrial agreement to arbitrate disputes over the joint governance of their closely held companies with respect to an arbitration initiated by Appellee after the trial court issued an interlocutory letter ruling indicating its intent to award 100% of the parties’ community property interest in the companies to Appellant. The arbitration agreement contemplated that the parties would arbitrate disputes arising before entry of the final divorce decree as opposed to disputes completed before entry of the decree.
