Swaffar v. State,   No. 02-07-00146-CR   (June 12, 2008)   (Dauphinot, J., joined by Holman and Walker, JJ.).
Held:   The stop was not justified on the basis of reasonable suspicion because the officer saw nothing to corroborate the vague, overbroad information provided by the anonymous tipster. The stop was not justified on the basis of the community caretaking doctrine because the record shows that the officer’s primary motivation for the stop was to investigate a crime, not to help Appellant or his passenger.
