Protective Order Resource Attorney 

Kimberly Piechowiak is the Protective Order Resource Attorney (PORA) for the judiciary in the State of Texas.  An attorney with over 20 years of experience in domestic violence issues and training, she is employed by OCA to provide technical assistance and training to judges, court clerks, and others on protective orders and the reporting of protective orders.

The position is funded by a grant from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice FY 2013 NICS Act Record Improvement program.

The services of the PORA are provided at no cost by the Office of Court Administration.
