Jerry Zimmerer was elected Justice 14th Court of Appeals in November 2018. Jerry received his undergraduate degree from Houston Baptist University, JD from South Texas College of Law Houston, and both Masters of Laws (Health Law and International Law) from the University of Houston Law Center. He completed his legal internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Ethics Section, and is credentialed in domestic and international commercial arbitration by the A.A. White Institute. In service to his professional community, Jerry sits on the Board of Advisors to the Health Law and Policy Institute at the University of Houston Law Center and was formerly an Officer of the Katy Bar Association. Jerry and his wife of 28 years Nancy are the proud parents of twin daughters, Nicole and Rene. Nicole graduated UH in 2017 and Carnegie Mellon University in 2019 with an MFA in Playwriting and Dramaturgy; Rene’ graduated summa cum laude from UH in 2018 and will start medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in the fall.
