The Supreme Court of Texas has proposed changes to the appellate rules to clarify that appellate counsel must provide a complete list of all trial and appellate counsel that have appeared in a case. The proposed changes are linked here.

The Court has invited public comment and expects that the pending amendments will take effect on August 1, 2022.

Until then, the Court requests that appellate counsel comply with the pending amendments when filing petitions and briefs with the Court. Counsel information is used to identify potential conflicts.
