Instructions for Fillable PDF Forms
Fillable PDF forms can now be edited in Chrome on both PCs and Macs.
Filling out the form:
- Open the form in Chrome by clicking on it's link.
- Fill out the form as needed.
Saving the form for later editing:
- After filling out the PDF form, click on the Download button (upper-right corner) and select "with your changes"
- Follow the prompts to save the file to a location of your choosing.
Saving the form for filing/printing:
- After filling out the PDF form, click the Print button (upper-right corner, next to the Download button).
- In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination printer.
- Click "Save" and choose the location and filename for the saved PDF.
Important Note:
Saving as a PDF this way "flattens" the form, meaning it becomes a static document, and the filled-in fields are no longer editable. You won't be able to change the information in the form fields after saving using this method.
Using Adobe Acrobat or other PDF Editors
First, save the PDF using the process to save the form for later editing. Once all edits have been made, be sure to print the file using the Print to PDF functions in order to flatten the file, making the form no longer editable.
Adobe Acrobat Users
Select Print, then select “Adobe PDF” as your printer destination; you will be prompted to save the file.
