Licensed Court Interpreters

Application Processing

Applications are processed as soon as possible, in the order of which they are received. Due to the volume of applications received, processing times can vary.

Please do not contact the Commission to check the status of your application.  Instead, use our Online Licensing System (ALiS) via the link on the red button below on this page.  There you can confirm receipt, status, and progress of your application by referring to the View Pending Online Applications page of your online profiles.

You will also be sent automated email confirmation of successful application submission, and when your application is approved.

Contacting the Licensed Court Interpreter's Department

Email is the best way to contact the JBCC, as we are unable to accommodate walk-in Customers. Staff can schedule appointments for virtual calls/Zoom meetings for further assistance.

In your email, please include your name and contact information and a subject line that identifies the topic of the email (example “Registration Transaction #12345”).

Attach any documents that are needed, but please do not submit documents by way of external links to a cloud service such as OneDrive or Google Drive.

  • By Telephone:  512-475-4368, Opt. 4.
If you leave a message, please provide details including the transaction number you are inquiring about, your full name, and your callback number.
