COURT ADDS FEDERAL MORATORIUM REQUIREMENTS
TO PREVIOUS EVICTION-PROTECTION ORDERS
In the latest coronavirus emergency order, the Texas Supreme Court has incorporated federal provisions protecting tenants facing eviction until mid-December.
The order, the Court’s 25th since the pandemic began, establishes petition requirements reflecting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s September 4 order halting residential evictions to thwart coronavirus spread. The order is effective until December 15.
