McDaniel v. Dindy, No. 02-21-00441-CV (Mar. 23, 2023) (Birdwell, J., joined by Kerr, J.)

Held: In this personal injury case, expert testimony was not required to establish the standard of care applicable to Appellees, and thus sufficient evidence supported the jury’s negligence verdict against them. However, the evidence was insufficient to establish Appellee Core-Mark’s gross negligence or the reasonable costs of either past or future medical expenses from which the jury could assess of Appellant’s reasonable future medical expenses.
