Best Practice Standards

On September 18, 2026 the Texas Judicial Council (TJC) approved adoption of the Texas Standards for Best Practices and Data Collection as recommended by the Governor's Specialty Court Advisory Council.  Based on the national research conducted and published by All Rise, Children and Family Futures, and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the standards provide guidance for courts to ensure the best possible outcomes using Texas-specific language and statutory requirements.
