Calli Bailey was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 2011.  Prior to joining the Collin County District Attorney’s Office in August 2012, she worked as a briefing attorney on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin.  In Collin County, Mrs. Bailey was assigned to the misdemeanor and felony trial divisions and Special Prosecution Unit.  This unit serves as a liaison to law enforcement during criminal investigations, and its activities include reviewing search warrants, responding to crime scenes and providing training to law enforcement agencies.  In October 2018, Mrs. Bailey was promoted to Chief of Collin County’s new Conviction Integrity Unit.  She currently reviews post-conviction claims of innocence or Brady violations, and oversees the office’s law enforcement and forensic lab disclosure compliance procedures.
